An interactive map of every time zone on Earth. Hover or tap a zone to see its current local time, date, UTC offset and whether daylight saving time is in effect. Switch between local time and UTC, or between 12 and 24 hour clocks.
Most time zone maps stop at the country level. This one keeps going: zoom in to street level and the border is drawn where it actually falls, whether it follows a state line, a river, a county road or cuts through a town. The globe shows a live day and night shadow, and a satellite view is one tap away.
How many time zones are there? 38 different UTC offsets are in use today, from UTC-12 to UTC+14, but the IANA database tracks hundreds of named zones because regions with the same offset often follow different daylight saving rules. This map draws a border only where the clocks actually differ right now.
Where does the border data come from? The open timezone-boundary-builder project, which combines OpenStreetMap boundaries with the IANA time zone database. The map is rebuilt with every release.
Is it free? Yes. No ads, no account, and it runs in any modern browser on desktop and mobile.
